The show is over but we have great memories!
Our show videos continue to get viewed by those that did not attend but I got another thing this week to remind me of what a great show it was. My son Alex and I got to meet and spend a few minutes chatting with Steve Wozniak (Woz) the co-founder of Apple computer. Later on Friday he was the final keynote speaker. What a great, down to earth person. I was fortunate to get this picture with Woz that is now hanging in my office with others from past show like Bush senior, Tony Hsieh of Zappos and many more.
Cubs End 108-Year Wait for World Series Title, After a Little More Torment
CLEVELAND — If you are going to endure years — no, generations — of futility and heartbreak, when you do finally win a World Series championship, it may as well be a memorable one.
The Chicago Cubs did just that, shattering their 108-year championship drought in epic fashion: with an 8-7, 10-inning victory over the Cleveland Indians in Game 7, which began on Wednesday night, carried into Thursday morning and seemed to end all too soon.
Almost every ISSA show has some drama around the World Series depending on the week of the show. This was an extra special year because we were in Chicago when the games were going on. After the third game and that loss the mood in town really shifted but they stuck it out and won on the road. Congrats to all of the Cubs fans.
