Nikki Jarden and I traveled to Wrightsville Beach this week to compete in the Carolina Cup. The CC is the largest paddle boarding race in the USA with over a 1000 people competing.
Racing on paddle boards is like doing a marathon but on the water. There are different lengths depending on your experience level of 3, 6.5 or 11 miles and also different age groups.
While on the trip we also noted the difference in the campgrounds compared to the ones we experienced in New Zealand camping last year. On this trip, we traveled in "Globey" the 23-foot Airstream that you may have seen in Las Vegas a few years ago. Even though we have a nice trailer you typically use the facilities at the campground. Here is a shot of the bathrooms at the campsite in Ashland, Va. Very nice for USA standards.
Here is a bathroom in New Zealand where they take camping very seriously.
Congrats to Nikki for finishing her first SUP (stand up paddle board) race!
That's is for this week. Good to take a break from work every now and then.
Have a great day and an even better sales week!
