SSB 10/12/25: Weathering the Storm in Sales

Blog

There’s a big storm rolling in this weekend, and it got me thinking—sales isn’t much different from the weather. You can’t control the forecast, but you can control how you prepare for it.

When a real storm’s on the way, we check our supplies, secure what matters, and make sure we’re ready for whatever comes. In sales, the “storms” look a little different: slow months, deals that stall, customers who go quiet, or unexpected market changes.

The people who succeed long-term aren’t the ones who never face bad weather—they’re the ones who get ready before the clouds roll in. That means knowing your pipeline, staying close to your customers, and keeping communication consistent even when things get rough.

It’s easy to get discouraged when the forecast looks gloomy. But if you’ve done the prep work, you can ride it out with confidence. Great salespeople are like seasoned sailors—they don’t fear the storm; they respect it, adjust their sails, and keep moving forward.

So as the wind picks up this Sunday, take a minute to check your own “sales forecast.” Are you ready for whatever might blow through next week? Because the truth is, storms always pass—and those who stay steady through them usually come out stronger on the other side.

Stay safe out there—and keep selling, rain or shine.

3. How to Disinfect Properly
Clean first: Remove dirt, dust, and organic material
Apply disinfectant liberally to surfaces
Follow dwell time: Let the product sit wet on the surface for the amount of time listed on the label (usually 1–10 minutes)
Air out rooms: Measles can linger in the air for hours, so proper ventilation is key
Focus on high-touch surfaces: doorknobs, light switches, chairs, handrails, remote controls, and countertops
