COVID Has Changed?
This is the quick Sunday version. In next week’s Jancast, we’ll take a closer look at what the latest COVID signals are telling us, what has changed, and how to respond without slipping back into panic mode.

Detection
At-home COVID tests help people decide what to do next.
Cleaner air
We now know that the air is critical not all of the touch surfaces
Respiratory protection
Offer well-fitting masks and genuine NIOSH-approved N95 respirators. Yes they are back
Hand and respiratory hygiene
Relevant products include soap, paper towels, tissues, touch-free dispensers, waste liners, and hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol.
Cleaning and disinfection
Routine cleaning remains important, but disinfecting every surface constantly is not the central answer. But if you have the choice why not use an EPA approved product? CDC says cleaning alone is sufficient in many ordinary situations; targeted disinfection becomes more important after illness or around vulnerable people

3. How to Disinfect Properly
Clean first: Remove dirt, dust, and organic material
Apply disinfectant liberally to surfaces
Follow dwell time: Let the product sit wet on the surface for the amount of time listed on the label (usually 1–10 minutes)
Air out rooms: Measles can linger in the air for hours, so proper ventilation is key
Focus on high-touch surfaces: doorknobs, light switches, chairs, handrails, remote controls, and countertops
