National Custodian Appreciation Day Took on New Meaning Amid COVID-19
October 2nd was National Custodial Worker’s Recognition Day. This special day encourages appreciation to the employees who keep our schools and workplaces across the nation running smoothly.
Custodial workers operate behind the scenes. They are often under-appreciated for the hard work they do day after day, too. These are the personnel keeping schools, hospitals, office buildings, museums, churches, and other buildings clean and well maintained.
While delivering outstanding services and running a well-maintained building, they contribute to critical first impressions and the success of any business. They’re the people we call on to give our brick and mortar businesses a polished look. The bank, schools, and office buildings look organized and presentable because custodial workers efficiently keep everything in top condition.
Mark your calendar for next year and say thanks to the next custodian you meet in the coming week.
Covid video update 10/1/20 Update-
Back to business #1 Now that we are starting to open here are three things you can do to make the best impression with your customers and it is not disinfecting
- Clean bathrooms make a critical statement for the current customer and if they will ever come back (tell Ted Peters story).
- Clean your carpet (it has been since Feb hasn’t it)? Floors? Floors and carpets influence perceptions of “clean”
- Catastrophic Mold??? Pictures? Recommendations?? Pro restorers vs. DIY??
